Summary of SDAC Full decoupling Test (3rd June 2026)

On 3 June 2026, a scheduled SDAC full decoupling test was carried out. The main purpose of the exercise was to simulate a real operational contingency that may also occur in production on day-ahead market, and to create conditions for verifying the readiness of market participants, communication processes, and operational procedures to handle such a scenario, which, while representing an exceptional operational state, may still occur in real-life conditions.

The test at OKTE was conducted in line with the planned schedule and in accordance with the test scenario. Full decoupling was declared at 16:00, followed by the execution of a local auction in accordance with the applicable local rules of the market operator.

Based on the course of the test, we can confirm that the tested processes and communication mechanisms performed in line with expectations. The experience gained will contribute to further improving market readiness and ensuring more effective handling of similar situations in the future.

We would also like to remind that, in the event of a transition to local auction, increased attention must be paid to order management. In the local auction, the following products are not supported:

  • Exclusive Group products
  • Loop Block orders
  • orders with a 15 MTU resolution

In the event of a full decoupling or the disconnection of the Slovak biding zone, it is therefore necessary to adjust orders to ensure full compliance with the rules of the local auction.

Finally, we would like to thank all participants who took part in the testing. We highly appreciate your cooperation, active engagement, and willingness to dedicate time to activities that contribute to strengthening the resilience and preparedness of the market. We believe that the experience gained will be beneficial to all.
